AHPT 830 - Clinical Internship I

Prerequisites: Successful completion o fall course content areas taught in the first year of the DPT program, or permission of the Department.
Clinical Internship I is the first of a series of three internships. This internship will be 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. The learning goal of the clinical education process is based on the hierarchical pattern of coursework. The initial clinical internship emphasizes basic examination, evaluation, and treatment intervention skills primarily found in nursing homes, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and outpatient rehabilitation clinical sites.
