OCTH 632 - Tools for Practice Credits: (3) Prerequisites: Successful completion of OCTH 620 , OCTH 622 , OCTH 624 and OCTH 626 and OCTH 628 or permission of the Chair. Provides experience with the tools and materials that people use in their everyday occupations and activities. Explores the perspective that practical arts, folk-crafts and technologies were originally tools for survival, and presents examples of activities that have been used as therapeutic tools from the inception of the profession today. Students participate in manual activities that are meaningful to rural people, and construct simple adaptive devices.
