RCPT 301 - Introduction to Tourism

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture
Prerequisites: Tourism and Special Events concentration.
Focuses on conceptual foundations, key terms, essential elements and basic principles of tourism. Emphasis is placed on understanding key tourism stakeholders and their roles in the tourism experience. Students will be exposed to a wide breadth of tourism providers and types of tourism experiences, as well as investigating the tourist/traveler, and their motivations, goals, limitations, and impacts.
