INDS 101 - Introduction to Patient Care Skills

Instructional Method: One hour lecture.
This course will provide students with the opportunity to learn basic safety practices and infection control. Basic patient care principles and concepts will be discussed with emphasis on meeting selected hygiene and physical needs of the individual. Students will be given the opportunity to practice skills in a lab setting and demonstrate competency by completing the required skills through proficiency check offs. This course is offered in an integrated lecture/skills practice format.
