ARTS 261 - Photography I Credits: (3) Instructional Method: One hour lecture; three hours lab. Prerequisites: ART 100 (non-majors only), or ARTS 101 , or ARTE 212 , or permission of instructor. Provides an introduction to analog black and white art photography. Students learn the use of cameras and darkroom equipment, are introduced to methods of film exposure and development, develop silver-based printing skills, explore how to analyze aesthetic criteria, and examine historical figures in the medium.
Note(s): Students cannot receive credit for both ARTS 261 and ART 250.
