ARTH 499 - Art History/Museum Studies Capstone (WI) Credits: (3-6) Instructional Method: Three hours seminar and independent research. Prerequisites: An upper-level course in student’s primary discipline and Art History concentration or minor in Museum Studies The goal of the capstone is demonstration of the ability to apply appropriate art historical and/or appropriate museological methodologies to a research question chosen by the student.

Prerequisite change is necessary to accommodate future students in the museum studies minor, following approval of the minor.
The credit option reflects the minor which will allow for either 6 credits in a capstone or internship or division between both. Presently art history majors do an independent study for 3 credits prior to beginning the capstone.
