BIOL 412 - Immunology Credits: (3) Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or better in BIOL 132 and BIOL 231 ; or a grade of “C” or better in BIOL 111 and BIOL 112. Provides an introduction to the science of immunology by focusing on the tissues, cells, and the mechanisms involved in the normal immune response. Emphasis is on the mechanisms of B and T cell sensitization and cellular specialization of immune cells. Active and passive immunities of the human system are considered in detail.
