PHYA 616 - Clinical Pathophysiology IIICredits: (2) Instructional Method: Two hours lecture. Prerequisites: PHYA 615 The third in a sequence of three classes designed to provide a conceptual understanding of pathophysiology as a basis for future clinical practice. Building on knowledge from normal anatomy and physiology, the course presents pathophysiological principles such as clinical manifestations and alterations in physiological functions in organ systems. Analysis and interpretation of common laboratory testing will be examined relative to the pathophysiological principles and concepts. The course follows an organ system approach in conjunction with the MSPA plan of study.
