PHYA 704 - Medicine II Clinical Rotation

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture.
This four-week required rotation is designed to provide the student with an understanding of medical practice in inpatient or outpatient settings. The rotation provides students an opportunity to develop skills in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, management, and treatment of acute and chronic medical problems, across the lifespan, commonly encountered in medical settings. Medical settings include, but are not limited to, areas of medicine such as Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, and Emergency Medicine. It does not include surgical fields or specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, Women’s Health, and Dermatology.
