Through this course, students will advance knowledge of systematic processes for measuring occupational therapy and education outcomes, with an emphasis on measurement of occupational performance and learning, including locating best available instruments, appraising instrument utility for specific practice settings and learner needs, and using assessment data to demonstrate the effectiveness and contributions of occupational therapy services, as well as effectiveness of teaching and learning strategies. Students will address assessment at multiple levels, including individual clients/learners, programs, and populations. Assessment practices across education will be explored, for clients, communities, and in higher education.
