SOCY 483 - Applied Research Principles- CSCR Research Assistant Experience

Credits: (1-4)
Prerequisites: SOCY 110  or SOCY 210  
This course provides structured, hands-on research experience through the Center for Social and Cultural Research (CSCR). Students engage in applied research with campus groups, community organizations, local and national nonprofits, and/or government agencies, contributing to data collection and analysis. CSCR Research Assistants typically work on at least one project per semester; enrollment across multiple semesters supports skill development and cross-training across research methodologies. The course emphasizes applied research principles, professional research practices, and collaborative project work.

Note(s): Students in lab for multiple semesters will be required to complete SOCY 380  Introduction to Research Methods.
