This course prepares candidates to design, implement, and evaluate instruction for multilingual learners (MLs) through evidence-based, linguistically responsive approaches. Candidates learn to write and align content and language objectives, differentiate instruction based on proficiency levels, integrate the four language domains, and apply scaffolding, grouping structures, delivery models, and assessment practices that promote academic language development. Emphasis is placed on designing meaningful, culturally and linguistically accessible instruction using WIDA tools, responsive feedback, and collaborative planning models.

Note(s): This would be a fully asynchronous course.
