Allied Health Sciences, B.S. (L)

This area of study is designed for students interested in advanced degree programs in the allied health field: physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, chiropractic medicine, or other allied health disciplines. Program admission and progression requires a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and a grade of B or better in select classes. There are three required practicum experiences to assist in accumulating observational hours for graduate school applications.

REAL Curriculum

This major fulfills the L area of the REAL Curriculum. Students will be required to apply knowledge from coursework into case studies to develop professional practice skills in the field of exercise science. Through field experiences, students apply skills to develop a professional identity. Students are required to take science and math courses that will fulfill a general studies minor for R. Students need majors and/or minors to fulfill the E and A areas to complete the REAL Curriculum requirements.
