The Department of Physics offers a broad curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with four concentration options. The Experimental and Theoretical Physics concentration is the appropriate curriculum for students contemplating a career in the broad areas of physics or engineering. The Physics Education concentration prepares students planning for a career as a high school physics teacher. The Astrophysics concentration is a flexible program intended for students interested in the application of physics to astrophysics or geophysics. The Biophysics concentration prepares students for graduate school or careers in this rapidly growing field, or preparation for a professional health career. All four programs develop analytic and problem-solving skills which will be valuable in any future occupation.
