A minimum of 18 credit hours is required for the completion of the Interdisciplinary Minor in Forensic Studies. Students who wish to enroll in the minor are encouraged to consult with the coordinator for advising. It is the responsibility of the student to design his/her program of study from among the available options, subject to approval of the coordinator. Regularly offered courses, special topic courses, seminars and honors courses may be selected.

In planning elective forensic studies coursework, students must be aware of three requirements:
- Students must select their elective courses so that upon completion of the minor they have taken coursework in at least two disciplines.
- Criminal Justice majors may not take the asterisked (*) course for credit towards the minor.
- Students must earn a letter grade of “C” or higher in all courses for credit towards the Forensic Studies minor.
