Entrepreneurship Minor


(15 Credit Hours)


A minor in entrepreneurship is designed to provide students with the skill sets needed to effectively create and manage business opportunities. The entrepreneurship minor is open to all students except management majors. The requirements for completion of the entrepreneurship minor are as follows:

Electives (6 credits)


Students may choose up to six (6) hours of upper-division undergraduate courses in their discipline in consultation with their advisor and approval of the Chair of the Department of Management. These two upper-division courses will consist of a practicum, internship, field study, studio or similar experiential pedagogy OR select from the courses listed below OR a combination of the two totaling six (6) hours.

Students may choose upper-division undergraduate courses in their discipline in consultation with their advisor and approval of the Chair of the Department of Management.  This elective “cluster” is designed to provide discipline-specific innovation and entrepreneurial experiences for the students. Programs can obtain global pre-approval of a list of their courses based on the following criteria: Must be 300 or 400 level. It is recommended that at least three (3) of these hours consist of a practicum, internship, or field study.
