Core Curriculum Requirements (30-36 credits)

All Medical Laboratory Science majors are required to take the following courses and are advised to take them as part of the Core Curriculum requirements:

• MATH 125 - Precalculus I
• PHIL 112 - Introduction: Ethics and Society
• PSYC 121 - Introduction to Psychology
• STAT 200 - Introduction to Statistics

• Acceptance into the following MLAB clinical components is contingent on satisfactory completion of the requirements above and an interview with the program director and faculty. MLAB 401 and MLAB 411 require attendance at the Radford University Carilion Campus. Clinical rotations may be assigned at any of our clinical affiliates, all within 100 miles of the Roanoke Carilion University campus.
