Statistics Minor (R)

Statistics gives one the ability to organize, analyze, interpret, and present understandable conclusions using data results. Almost all fields use some type of statistics as a tool for analyzing problems. Obtaining a minor in statistics will enhance your prospects in many careers.  Our minor courses expose students to a variety of statistical concepts and gives multiple examples of how it is applied to a variety of different disciplines.

REAL Curriculum


This mathematics minor fulfills the R of the REAL Curriculum. The goal of this minor is for students to apply scientific and quantitative reasoning to questions about the natural world, mathematics, or related areas. Students evaluate the quality of data, methods, or inferences used to generate scientific and quantitative knowledge.

General Education Requirements


General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Mathematics minor includes 7-8 general education credits.
