Graphic design techniques including the concept-driven design process and proficiencies in the “tools of the trade”, namely the Adobe software suite, have become an important skill set in many business and technological career fields. The Graphic Design Minor addresses this need offering students in other disciplines the opportunity to obtain a working knowledge of the basic principles of graphic design while gaining proficiency in Adobe programs such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Successful completion of the Graphic Design Minor should enhance the student’s employability and upward mobility in the workplace.
