Criminal Justice Minor (L)

General Education Requirements

General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Criminal Justice minor includes 6 general education credits.

Applied Learning Electives (6 credits)

Choose two classes, one of which must be a GE and one of which must be a 300 or 400 level course, from the following:

• CRJU 210 - Juvenile Justice (GE)
• CRJU 233 - Courts and the Criminal Process (GE)
• CRJU 234 - Mock Trial
• CRJU 238 - Corrections (GE)
• CRJU 310 - Intro to Crime Analysis and Criminal Intelligence
• CRJU 311 - Crime Analysis Data and Technology
• CRJU 320 - Criminal Investigative Theory
• CRJU 341 - Introduction to Forensic Science
• CRJU 360 - Criminal Law and Evidence
• CRJU 412 - Security Administration and Crime Prevention
• CRJU 415 - Emergency Management
• CRJU 481 - Forensic Law

Criminal Justice Electives (6 credits)

Two additional courses for a total of six credits of classes with a CRJU prefix are required. Courses taken to fulfill the requirements above, independent studies (CRJU 498 ), and internship hours (CRJU 484 ) do not satisfy this requirement. More than one CRJU 490  or CRJU 491  will count towards the six hours, provided that the topic of the seminar varies.
