Biology - General Minor

This minor provides an opportunity for students to explore the breadth of the biological sciences through a range of self-selected biology courses at the introductory and advanced levels. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests within biology and select courses that align with those interests, bearing in mind that many upper-level courses will have required prerequisites. Students interested in taking these advanced courses should also plan time for their prerequisites into their progression through the minor.

Minor Requirements (18 credits)

A student may earn a minor in biology by completing 18 semester hours selected by the student from the department offerings. Grade point average in the minor is calculated by using all biology courses and courses cross listed with biology courses.

Additional Information

Minimum in-minor GPA of 2.0 required to graduate. GPA is calculated using all BIOL courses, courses cross-listed with BIOL courses, and any course used in the minor by petition.
