SOCY 380 - Introduction to Social Research Methods Credits: (3) Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: SOCY 110 or SOCY 121 and STAT 130 or STAT 200 . This course provides students with an overview of the research process including the methods and designs common to applied research in professional settings. Emphasis is placed on understanding the various methodological approaches for conducting research and how to use these approaches to produce evidence-based recommendations for stakeholders in various professional settings.
