HIST 338 - British History from the Union to the Beatles (EU) (WI) Credits: (3) Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. A general survey of British history since 1700. During this period Britain first rose to the top of global wealth and influence and then returned to the ranks of second-rate powers. Specific course topics include the development of British identity; industrialization; the struggles for rights by the poor, women, and minorities; global ascendency; world wars; Beatlemania; and the European Union.
Note(s): Humanistic or Artistic Expression designated course.
