PHIL 342 - Philosophy, Science, and Values (WI)

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture.
Prerequisites: One Philosophy course at the 100 or 200-level, or consent of the Instructor.
The course examines features of the relation between science and values. Topics may include ethical and social obligations of scientists, role of value judgements in scientific practice, and influence of social and political values on science and scientists.

Note(s): Humanistic or Artistic Expression designated course.

This course meets the Cornerstone description as a Writing Intensive (WI) course.
