EDSP 756 - Teaching Internship in Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Secondary Level Credits: (4-6) Instructional Method: Field Experience Prerequisites: Completion of coursework required for licensure and admission to the Teacher Education Program, successful completion of EDSP 755 . EDSP 756 represents the second student teaching experience. Teacher candidates work with preK-12 students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing during this course under the supervision of cooperating teacher(s) and a university supervisor. Placements are provided at the preschool or elementary levels and middle or high school levels. Each course represents a one-half semester, full-time placement. The course begins with observation in the classroom and culminates with full responsibility for the cooperating teacher’s daily schedule, including provision of direct instruction to students.
Note(s): A fee of $110 will be charged to students taking EDSP 756. Grading: A-F.
