EDSP 756 - Teaching Internship in Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Secondary Level
Credits: (4-6) Instructional Method: Field Experience Prerequisites: Completion of coursework required for licensure and admission to the Teacher Education Program, successful completion of EDSP 755. EDSP 756 represents the second student teaching experience. Teacher candidates work with preK-12 students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing during this course under the supervision of cooperating teacher(s) and a university supervisor. Placements are provided at the preschool or elementary levels and middle or high school levels. Each course represents a one-half semester, full-time placement. The course begins with observation in the classroom and culminates with full responsibility for the cooperating teacher’s daily schedule, including provision of direct instruction to students.
