MGNT 685 - Strategic Management

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture.
Prerequisites: MBA status or permission of the instructor, ACTG 611 , FINC 631 , MGNT 624 , MKTG 641 .
Strategic management focuses on how organizations achieve sustained success in a competitive global environment. Intergrates the knowledge gained in functional courses in order to make strategies decisions which enhance competitive advantages. Emphasizes the use of strategic analysis tools to identify problems/issues/opportunities, evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of strategic alternatives, and make decision/recommendations. Utilizes ethical frameworks to evaluate trade offs among stakeholders and resolve conflicting interest.
