OCTH 632 - Analysis of Occupation Through the use of Technology and Media

Prerequisites: Completion of all prior coursework.
This course allows students to explore various forms of technology and media that are used in OT practice and that are meaningful to individuals in the local community.  Develops knowledge and skills in activity analysis, using terminology common to the OT profession when determining the necessary motor, process, and social interaction skills required of various activities.  Emphasis is placed on promoting safety in the workplace for self, clients, and co-workers.  Promotes sound judgement in the selection and fabrication of various forms of assistive technology, devices, and creative media when used for occupational therapy intervention.
