OCTH 640 - Evidence-Based Practice and Applied Research in Occupational Therapy

Prerequisites: Successful completion of all prior coursework.
This course provides an overview of research methods that align with current research priorities and advances knowledge translation, professional practice, service delivery, or professional issues.  Students will build research capacity, establish new knowledge, interpret, apply, and communicate this knowledge to occupational therapy practice. The course focuses on practical experience with locating, evaluating, critiquing, and synthesizing available evidence. Using this evidence, students will design a research proposal to address an identified gap in knowledge.
