EDEL 850 - School Finance and Operations

Prerequisites: Admission to Doctoral Program in Education.
The course content focuses on federal, state and local laws and regulations related to financing, purchasing, and contracting; planning and maintaining school facilities; working collaboratively with governmental entities, professional organizations and community members to advocate for adequate resources for schools; and providing for the safety and welfare of students and school staff. The content is aligned with the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) with an emphasis on Standards 8 and 9.
