OCTH 619 - Professional Practice Seminar I

Prerequisites: Completion of all prior course work.
This course lays the foundation for entering the professional practice of occupational therapy as a contributing and autonomous practitioner. This will be accomplished by initiating the student into professional communication through self-reflection and exploring therapist-client communications with special sensitivity towards diversity. The student will learn how professional practice is built on a foundation of ethics. Students will also begin to explore professional growth opportunities and the responsibilities of early advocacy.
