OCTH 606 - The Domain and Process of Occupational Therapy

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture.
This course builds on pre-existing clinical skills and professional knowledge as an occupational therapy assistant for in-depth exploration of domain and process as applied to differing role demands of an occupational therapist.  Students apply understanding of the OT process with emphasis on evaluation, assessments, and goals. Students analyze and apply concepts related to apply and analyze knowledge the history of occupational therapy, developmental, cultural, and socioeconomic influences on occupational choice and performance, and the relationship between occupation and health through the lens of the Person-Environment-Occupational Performance Model as it applies to the OT process.
