OCTH 608 - Applied Anatomy and Human Movement for Occupational Therapy Practice Credits: (4) Instructional Method: Four hours lecture. In this course, students 1) extend foundational knowledge of surface and regional anatomy of the human body, and structures and functions of the central and peripheral nervous systems, and 2) explore and analyze normal and abnormal human movement patterns. Emphasis is placed on the clinical and functional significance of the structures, physiological processes, and movements being studied. Students gain experience with administration and interpretation of select biomechanical and neurological assessments. In addition, students analyze the impact of select musculoskeletal and neurological impairments on the human as an occupational being.
