OCTH 636 - Professional Evolution: OTA to OT

Instructional Method: Two hours lecture.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of prior coursework.

Students explore and analyze the role of an occupational therapist. Emphasis is placed on the OT process including selection and application of appropriate theory to inform practice including identification of relevant instruments and measures. Students interpret and synthesize evaluation data to develop an evidence-based treatment plan. Students organize their ethical, professional, and scholarly thought processes for future practice as occupational therapists.
