The importance of information systems and information technology in improving decision-making in healthcare organizations is addressed. Student develop expertise in data management and analysis used by healthcare organizations in decision support used to improve and better coordinate patient care, allow for better management of medical records, improve cost controls, and enhance supply inventory and management.
