This minor focuses on natural hazards, climate change and resource depletion and their impacts on society. Course choices offer a broad array of disciplines that provides a firm grounding on how science and engineering hold the keys to a deep understanding of the natural processes that directly influence our daily lives and offer a pathway to responsible stewardship of natural resources toward a sustainable future.

REAL Curriculum
This minor fulfills the R area of the REAL Curriculum through lectures, examination of samples, laboratory work, and field experience while using scientific and quantitative reasoning to solve environmental problems from both theoretical and practical points of view.
General Education Requirements
General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Global Environmental Change minor includes 12 general education credits.
