REAL Studies Minor in Cultural or Behavioral Analysis (A)


A minimum of 15 credits in courses designated “A” within the REAL Curriculum, with at least 3 credits at the 300-400 level. Coursework must include classes with at least 2 different prefixes. Students cannot cross-credit courses to simultaneously complete both this minor and a traditional minor/certificate. Students are allowed to cross-credit courses from the A Studies minor with major programs if permissible by the major.

The “A” designation of a course is granted by the REAL Council, and published in the course catalog. “A” designated courses cover social science, behavioral science and other related areas:

Learning Outcomes:

  • Students describe behaviors, beliefs, cultures, social institutions, and/or environments.
  • Students analyze the interactions of behaviors, beliefs, cultures, social institutions, and/or environments.
