Ethics Minor (E)

The Ethics minor is a broadly applicable minor that introduces students to ethics in PHIL 112 - Introduction: Ethics and Society (GE)  and PHIL 115 - Wicked Problems (GE) . The minor additionally offers courses in healthcare ethics, environmental ethics, professional ethics, and ethics from other disciplinary perspectives.

REAL Curriculum


This minor fulfills the E area of the REAL Curriculum. Focused on the topic of humanistic inquiry as written into the E learning outcome, ethics is the study of how humans have defined and handled moral dilemmas. In addition to a broad understanding of ethics, this minor delves into ethical problems in healthcare, the environment, and professional ethics as well as disciplinary perspectives on ethics. Students need majors and/or minors to fulfill the R, A, and L areas to complete the REAL Curriculum requirements.

General Education Requirements


General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Ethics minor includes 9-15 general education credits.
