RCPT 470 - Internship in Recreation, Parks and Tourism

Credits: (9-12)

Instructional Method: 40 hours per week for 10-14 weeks, 400-560 hours
Prerequisites: A minimum 2.0 grade point average in overall work; RCPT 469. In addition, students must be in the process or have completed the courses within their concentration, and must have permission of the chairperson.
For 9 credits, students complete 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, 480 hours total. For 12 credits, students complete 40 hours per week for 14 weeks, 560 hours total. If taking for variable credit, each credit is an extra 40 hours, 1 week. Provides maximum opportunity to participate in professional laboratory experiences as a recreation professional.
