SPAN 335 - Topics in Latin American Culture Credits: (3) Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: SPAN 302 or placement by examination. This course traces the development of Latin America from the Pre-Hispanic era, to colonialism and then independence and nation-building in the 19th century. Analysis of canonical and non-canonical texts, literature, art, film, music, architecture, and other social practices. May be taken up to two times for credit with different content. Taught in Spanish.
