HIST 330 - African American History to 1865 (US) (WI) Credits: (3) Instructional Method: Three hours lecture/discussion. This course examines the experiences of African Americans from the Colonial Era to Emancipation which shall include, but are not limited to: an understanding of African origins, the African diaspora; developments of the Black experience in North America, the institution of slavery in the United States, including historical perspectives of the enslaved, and how African Americans helped shape and have been shaped by American society.
Note(s): Cultural or Behavioral Analysis designated course.
