EDUC 380 - Differentiation for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Elementary Learners Credits: (3) Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: EDUC 370 . Pre- or Corequisites: EDUC 370 . This course will be required for students seeking licensure in Elementary Education (PK-6). It will be accessible as an option for students interested in teaching and learning or pursuing related degrees.
Teachers need to be prepared to create learning experiences that foster success for the diverse populations found in today’s classroom. This course will focus on how teachers collaborate with colleagues, specialists, families, students, and the community to make instructional choices that support the achievement of culturally and linguistically diverse learners, specifically multilingual learners (MLLs) and gifted and talented students.
