HLTH 498 - Independent Study in Health Credits: (1-6) Instructional Method: Independent study or research. Prerequisites: Junior standing. Designed to permit students to investigate specific problems or areas of interest independently under the direction of a supervising faculty member. An Independent Study proposal must be signed by the student, the student’s academic advisor, the sponsoring faculty member, and the department chair. Forms must be signed prior to the deadline for adding courses in the term in which the study is to be undertaken. Independent Study courses may be taken either on a pass-fail basis or for a letter grade. No student may apply more than six hours of credit for Independent Study toward graduation requirements.
