Public relations specialists and managers prepare messages and develop communication strategies for communication stakeholders. The 18-hour minor in Public Relations consists of required coursework specific to Public Relations in the School of Communication. Prerequisites or permission of instructor may be required for some courses. Declared minors may obtain permission through their School of Communication advisor.

REAL Curriculum
The Public Relations minor fulfills the E and L areas of the REAL Curriculum. Students need majors and/or minors to fulfill the R and A areas to complete the REAL Curriculum requirements.
