The purpose of the Music Production Minor is to provide those students wishing to write and produce commercial music, work in a recording studio, open their own studio, or further their own performance career with a solid foundation in commercial music creation with essential skills. This minor provides useful exposure and hands-on experience in writing, recording, and producing commercially viable music through an entrepreneurial approach.

REAL Curriculum
This minor fulfills E area of the REAL Curriculum. This minor provides an integration of methods/techniques and inquiry to explore the creative experience in human expression. Students need majors and/or minors to fulfill the R, A, and L areas to complete the REAL Curriculum requirements.
General Education Requirements
General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Creative Writing minor includes 6 general education credits.
