Design Studies in Design Expression and Culture Minor provides a basis of design terminology, design processes, design history and design product information. Students will learn how the environment (interior and exterior) affect people at work, home and play. Students apply design thinking principles to a social problem outside their discipline. Students critically evaluate forms of human expression and design processes through written critiques, case studies, and teamwork projects.

REAL Curriculum
This minor fulfills the E and A area of the REAL Curriculum. Students critically evaluate forms of human expression and design processes through written critiques, case studies, and teamwork projects.
General Education Requirements
General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Design Studies in Design Expression and Culture minor includes 9-12 general education credits.
