Data analytics is the process of analyzing raw data in order to draw out meaningful, actionable insights, which can be used to inform and drive smart decisions which enhance performance and help gain a competitive advantage. Data analytics is a highly sought-after skill that is widely used in almost every field, including business, art, music, sports, investing, health care, politics, criminal justice, and many more. This minor helps provide students with the skills they need to visualize and analyze data so they can tell more compelling stories and make decisions that enhance the performance of individuals and organizations.

REAL Curriculum
This minor fulfills the R of the REAL Curriculum. The goal of this minor is for students to apply scientific and quantitative reasoning to questions about the natural world, mathematics, or related areas. Students need majors and/or minors to fulfill the E, A, and L areas to complete the REAL Curriculum requirements. General Education Requirements
General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. This minor includes 3 to 9 general education credits. Minor Requirements (15 credits)
Required Courses (9 credits)
Any statistics course at the level of STAT 130 or higher may be substituted for one statistics course requirement. Elective Courses (6 credits)
Students fulfill six (6) credits from any courses with prefixes of MGNT, ENTR, and MKTG. Total Credit Hours for Minor 15
