Human Resources Minor – Non-BBA Majors (A, L)

The minor in Human Resources Management offers non-business majors the opportunity to enhance their career opportunities by acquiring additional skills in applied human resource management (e.g., Staffing, Performance Appraisal, Organizational Development, & Analytics).

REAL Curriculum


This minor fulfills the A and L areas of the REAL Curriculum. The interactions of cultures and behaviors are examined within the context of individual and group behavior in organizations and the practices used by organizations to manage human resources. The exploration of professional practice occurs through the application of knowledge, skills, and critical reflection within the practice of human resources management. Students need majors and/or minors to fulfill the R and E areas to complete the REAL Curriculum requirements.

General Education Requirements


General Education courses will be denoted below with a (GE). Students are required to take at least 30 credit hours of general education designated courses within their degree requirements. The Human Resources minor includes 3 general education credits.

Minor Requirements (18 credits)


Students not majoring in the Davis College of Business and Economics who wish to pursue a Human Resources Management minor must meet the following requirements:
